Dia De Los Muertos is the Spanish term for the Day of the Dead, a holiday mostly celebrated in Mexico and other parts of America including Arizona. In many places Dia De Los Muertos can last up to a week, but many people usually honor the occasion over just two days, on November 1 and 2. Dia De Los Muertos allows families to gather and remember their loved ones that have passed away. It is a tradition to leave offerings of flowers and fruits, which are intended to lead the spirits on their journey.
